Wales’ newest outdoor inflatable water park, Cosmeston Lakes AQUA PARK, has officially opened for the summer season at the Vale of Glamorgan’s Cosmeston Lakes Country Park.
With over 40 connected obstacles, slides and splash zones, this floating adventure course has arrived in Wales, welcoming people to tackle its climbing walls, trampolines, giant slides and infamous ‘Blast Bags’.
The park will be open for an eight-week period, with the final sessions on the 14th September.

Connor James, Marketing Manager at Cosmeston Lakes Aqua Park, said:
“We’re really excited to be bringing back our Aqua Park to Wales for another year. Whether you’ve been before or you’re back for another round of fun, we can’t wait to welcome you.
We are very proud of our staff and lifeguards at all our Aqua Parks. In fact, in the last five years, we’ve trained 400 people with RLSS* UK Open Water Lifeguard qualifications across all of our sites, and 116 in south Wales.
For this 2025 season alone, 16 new lifeguards have been specially trained for the launch at Cosemeston Lakes, so we are offering safe, seasonal fun, and new jobs and opportunities for local people.”

Cllr Bronwen Brooks, Vale of Glamorgan Council Deputy Leader and Cabinet Member for Sustainable Places, said…
“Aqua Park’s trial at Cosmeston Country Park is now underway as the Council looks to expand this location’s appeal and encourage visitors from a different demographic.
Income generated from this venture will play an important part in helping to meet the park’s maintenance costs.
After the eight-week pilot, the Council will consider the best way forward.”
Tickets for the park can be booked online HERE and cost £21 for a one-hour session.

Cosmeston Lakes Aqua Park is also launching weekly Quiet Sessions this summer – a new initiative designed to offer a more relaxed and supportive experience for individuals who may benefit from a gentler, lower-stimulation environment.
• Dedicated quiet sessions every Saturday at 10am from 19th July – 30th August
• Smaller briefing groups and reduced capacity: Creating a calmer environment with fewer guests on the inflatables.
• Designed with inclusivity in mind: Supporting participants with neurodivergent conditions such as autism, ADHD, dyslexia, dyspraxia and others.
As part of its move to Cosmeston Lakes Country Park, Aqua Park is focused on creating a welcoming, inclusive outdoor experience for all and so has introduced these quieter sessions to allow everyone to enjoy some safe water-based fun.
The new weekly Quiet Sessions will take place at 10am every Saturday from 19th July through to 30th August and are open for booking HERE.

These quieter hours offer a smaller, less crowded setting – with fewer participants on the inflatables and more personal space during safety briefings – to better support individuals with sensory sensitivities or those who may prefer a slower pace.
The sessions are supervised by the Aqua Park’s fully trained lifeguards, ensuring the same high standard of safety and care that all guests receive.
The decision to introduce these sessions reflects Cosmeston Lake Aqua Park’s wider commitment to inclusivity and community accessibility. It builds on years of positive community initiatives, from youth training and lifeguard development to job creation and outreach.
Connor told us….
“We know that adventure should be for everyone, and Quiet Sessions are just one way we’re working to make the Aqua Park experience more accessible. We’ve taken steps to make these sessions calmer, more structured, and supportive for those who need it – while still delivering all the fun we’re known for. Carers also go free, for those who need a little extra support as they take to the inflatables.”
Quiet Sessions are now available to book online HERE
